Quintet, five solo exhibitions by leading southern Sydney contemporary artists Lee Bethel, Matt Bromhead, Christine Druitt Preston, Nicole Kelly and Kerry Toomey.

Sydney based artist, Christine Druitt Preston is a graduate of Alexander Mackie CAE, the National Art School and Alfred University, Alfred, NY.

Her art making acknowledges themes and practices of earlier women artists and artisans; employing techniques of printmaking, collage, embroidery, and installation to engage her audience in conversations about the nature of art.

Christine Druitt Preston´s work has been exhibited as finalist in major Art Awards in Australia including recent 2023 finalist exhibitions at Blacktown City Art Prize; Sunshine Coast Art Award, Caloundra Regional Gallery, Qld; Naked & Nude Art Prize at Manning Regional Gallery, NSW, and The Gosford Art Prize, Gosford Regional Gallery.

Druitt Preston has been awarded the Highly Commended Award, 2021 KAAF Art Prize. Korean Cultural Centre, Sydney, NSW; the 2019 People’s Choice Award, Sunshine Coast Art Prize, Caloundra Regional Gallery, QLD; Highly Commended, 2019 Gosford Art Prize, Gosford Regional Gallery, NSW; the 2019 Bathurst Purchase Prize, Works on Paper, Bathurst, NSW; and the 2019 Southern Cross Open Award, Southern Cross Arts Festival, QLD.

Her work has been included in the collections of Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery, NSW; Brooklyn Art Library, Brooklyn, NY, USA; Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Centre Collection, NSW; Bathurst Regional Gallery, NSW; The State University of New York, NY, USA; and Alfred University, NY, USA.
