New works developed from Alex Fensham´s residency at La Cité Internationale des Art´s, Paris.

This body of work explores a contemporary sublime that arises from within the experience of nocturnal Paris. It examines the the play of darkness and artificial light that transforms the Parisian landscape from the material to the ethereal.

Paris, known as the city of light, has not only been an important centre for artists, it´s architectural landscape has been a significant subject for many," Alex Fensham notes, "thisnew body of work examines the urban subject in ways that seek to represent the romantic beauty of this great city whilst attempting to avoid visual cliché.
