Congratulations to Graham Marchant, finalist in the SCOPE Galleries Art Award for his painting Wetlands (Lane Cove).

The SCOPE Galleries Art Award is a biennial award for an artwork that addresses an environmental theme. The 2016 Award comprises 43 artworks pre-selected by guest judge, artist and senior printmaker at Australian Print Workshop, Martin King.

These works highlight the level of concern that artists feel about environmental issues, and also reveal the importance of art in social and political dialogues that can contribute to change.

Martin King will announce the winner at 6pm on 11 June, 2016 at the gallery in Warrnambool.

Exhibition Dates: 11 June – 31 July, 2016.
