Acrylic on canvas, 41x51cm
There are many still lives within the context of the home, this is just one example of the way we curate and arrange our places of sancturary and how these can become metaphors for our lives. This work is about the quiet contemplation and small moments of reflection. There is a constant liminal state within the work and this idea of looking through or seeing within. Fracturing the work means that the audience are looking inwards, as if to see through the still life.
