Daniel Pata | 2021 Salon des Refusés | S.H. Ervin Gallery, Sydney

Daniel Pata | Portrait of Guy Warren | 2021 Salon des Refusés | S.H. Ervin Gallery
Congratulations again to Daniel Pata selected for inclusion in the 2021 Salon des Refusés exhibition, S.H. Ervin Gallery, Sydney, with his portrait of much loved friend, artist and centenarian Guy Warren.

The exhibition opens on Saturday 5 June and continues until Sunday 15 August before travelling to Adelaide where it opens on 8 October and continues until 11 December.

The Salon des Refusés was initiated by the S.H. Ervin Gallery in 1992 in response to the large number of works entered into the Archibald Prize and not selected for display in the official exhibition.

This years selection panel for the 2021 Salon des Refusés were Max Germanos, 3:33 Art Projects, Katherine Roberts, curator Manly Art Gallery and Jane Watters, Director, S.H. Ervin Gallery.

The Salon des Refusés exhibition at the S.H. Ervin Gallery has established an excellent reputation that rivals the selections in the ‘official’ exhibition, with works selected for quality, diversity, humour and experimentation, and which examine contemporary art practices, different approaches to portraiture and responses to the landscape. ~ Jane Watters, Director, S.H. Ervin Gallery.

Exhibition Dates: 05 June – 15 August 2021
S.H. Ervin Gallery, Watson Road, Observatory Hill (The Rocks), Sydney, NSW.
