The Hawkesbury Art Prize is open to artists from around Australia and this year the judges had a difficult time choosing 41 finalists from 650 entries.

In 2021 the Hawkesbury Art Prize is supporting The Secret Garden, a not-for-profit community garden and nursery on five acres at the University of Western Sydney campus, Richmond, NSW. The Secret Garden & Nursery fund the Food for Thought program for people with mental illness and disabilities. North West Disability Services, who manage the project, are a not-for-profit, community organisation, a Public Benevolent Institution and a Charity.

The 2021 Hawkesbury Art Prize judges are Dr Pamela James, Adjunct Fellow, Art Crime, Museologist and Art Historian, Western Sydney University, Madeleine Tuckfield-Carrano, Curator and Director, Artsite Galleries and Dan Kyle, Artist.

The awarding of prizes will take place at the opening of the exhibition by Susan Templeman MP, Federal Member for Macquarie, at 6pm Saturday 27th November.
