Congratulations to Graham Marchant, named as finalist in the 2012 Silk Cut Award, for his multiple block Lino Print Still Life with gingham cloth and calligraphy fan.

The Silk Cut Award was introduced in 1995 to encourage the making and appreciation of linocut prints. Sponsored by Duroloid and Dutch manufacturer Forbo, the award aims to provide creative opportunities for artists.

A unique and vital part of the Award is the ongoing gift from The Silk Cut Foundation Inc. to the National Gallery of Australia (NGA), made up of winning and acquired prints from each year of the Award.
